Vivo is gearing up to unveil a range of new devices at its “Vivo Next 2026” event on October 6, 2026, including the highly anticipated Vivo V80 5G. While the launch will also showcase the Vivo X Fold 6, a new S series phone – the Vivo S2 FE – and a new Vivo VR headset, attention is currently focused on the V80 5G and, specifically, its camera capabilities.

ZEISS-Powered Camera System

A key feature of the Vivo V80 5G will be a significantly upgraded camera system developed in collaboration with ZEISS. The setup will centre around a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700V main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). This will be complemented by a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor offering 3x optical zoom, integrated into a ZEISS Night Telephoto camera. A ZEISS-powered ultra-wide-angle sensor will complete the triple-camera array.

Performance and Battery Life

The Vivo V80 5G is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, a 4nm-based processor. Benchmarking results suggest strong performance, with an AnTuTu 11 score of 1,329,936. Geekbench 6 reports 1270 points for single-core and 4106 points for multi-core performance. The device will also feature LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

Vivo is also promising a substantial 7,200mAh battery, supported by 90W fast wired charging. The phone will run OriginOS 7, based on Android 17, with a focus on AI-driven enhancements and UI improvements.

Pricing Details

Leaks indicate the Vivo V80 5G will be available in three memory configurations, with pricing as follows:

  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: Rs 62,999
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: Rs 69,999
  • 8GB RAM + 512GB storage: Rs 71,999

Design and Display

The V80 5G will feature a glossy finish on both the front and back, with an aluminum chassis. It will be available in three colour options: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue, and Stellar Black. The device boasts a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ certification and a peak brightness of 5000 nits.

AI Camera Features

Beyond the hardware, Vivo is introducing a new AI Creative app with over 30 dedicated AI effects, including features like Live Sticker Collage and Diwali Portrait 2.0. The phone will also support Cinematic mode for video recording.
