Vivo will officially launch the V80 5G in India on October 6, 2026, the company has announced. The device, already available in international markets, is poised to arrive with a focus on camera capabilities and a substantial battery capacity.
ZEISS-Engineered Camera System
The Vivo V80 5G continues Vivo’s tradition of prioritising camera performance, featuring a system developed in collaboration with ZEISS. The rear camera setup includes a triple-lens array:
- 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto sensor
- 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera
- ZEISS ultra-wide angle sensor
For front-facing photography, the phone incorporates a 50MP ZEISS sensor. The camera supports Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), 4K video recording at 60fps, and ZEISS 85mm and 100mm portrait modes, alongside the ability to record 4K cinematic videos.
Display and Design
The Vivo V80 5G boasts a 6.59-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 5000nits and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The display also supports a 1.5K resolution. Bezels are reported to be just 1.25mm thick and symmetrical on all sides, according to TelecomTalk.
Battery and Software
Powering the device is a 7200mAh battery, marking the largest battery capacity ever featured in a Vivo V series phone. The phone will support 90W FlashCharge for rapid power replenishment. It is expected to ship with Origin OS 7, based on Android 17. The Vivo V80 5G may be available in Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue, and Stellar Black colour options.
The Vivo V80 5G is expected to be positioned in the premium segment of the Indian smartphone market.
