Vivo has confirmed the India launch of its V80 5G smartphone for October 6, 2026. The device, the latest addition to Vivo’s V-series, will be available via Flipkart, including during the Big Billion Day Sale.
ZEISS-Powered Camera Takes Centre Stage
The Vivo V80 5G will feature a triple-camera setup co-engineered with ZEISS. The main camera will be a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700V sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It will be accompanied by a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor integrated with a ZEISS Night Telephoto lens, offering 3X optical zoom and up to 100X zoom capabilities. A ZEISS-powered ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 50MP ZEISS selfie camera with autofocus complete the imaging package.
Beyond the hardware, the V80 5G will include a “Cinematic Mode” for 4K video recording, inspired by similar features found on Apple iPhones. Vivo is also adding an AI Creative Camera with over 30 effects, including Live Sticker Collage and Diwali Portrait 2.0.
Power and Design Improvements
The V80 5G will pack a substantial 7200mAh battery and support 90W fast wired charging, reportedly capable of charging the device from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes. The phone will feature a metallic frame with glass on both the front and back. Its rear camera module will have a distinctive rectangular design, incorporating a flash and circular LED light, alongside ZEISS branding.
Next-Gen Software Experience
The Vivo V80 5G will launch with OriginOS 7, built on Android 17, making it one of the first phones to ship with the new operating system. This software update will bring new AI features, including Pet Pals, Snap Note, and Security Shield.
