Xiaomi is preparing to expand its Redmi Note 17 series in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max on September 15, 2026. These devices will build upon the foundation laid by the already-released Redmi Note 17 5G, offering increased performance.
Chipset Details Revealed
Xiaomi has confirmed the chipsets powering the new phones. The Redmi Note 17 Pro will utilise the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC. Both processors are designed for mid-range smartphones, according to TelecomTalk.
Key Features and Design
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will stand out with a unique design element: a photochromic back panel that changes colour, available exclusively in the ‘Secret Sunshine’ colour option. Both the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will boast an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
