Xiaomi is preparing to expand its Redmi Note 17 series in India with the upcoming launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G series. The company has now officially confirmed that the new phones will arrive on September 15, 2026.
Two New Models Arriving
The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G series will consist of two devices: the Redmi Note 17 Pro and the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. This will bring the total number of Redmi Note 17 series phones available in India to three, alongside the already-released Redmi Note 17 5G.
Battery Life and Availability
Xiaomi claims the new phones will offer up to four days of usage on a single charge, thanks to a large battery. The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G series is expected to pack a battery capacity of up to 10000mAh. Both the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G will be available for purchase through Amazon India following the launch event.
Familiar Specifications
According to Xiaomi, the Indian versions of the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G will largely mirror the specifications of the models previously released in China. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max has been teased as featuring a dual-rear camera setup. The company has not indicated any planned design changes for the Indian market.
The key question surrounding the launch remains the pricing and market positioning of the new devices.
