OPPO India has announced plans to release a new line of smartphones under its F series: the F35 5G. The launch will see the company skip a number in the sequence, moving directly from the F33 5G to the F35 5G – a practice becoming increasingly common among Chinese brands, as seen with OnePlus’s jump from the 13 to the 15.
Two Models Expected
The F35 5G series will consist of two devices: the OPPO F35 5G and the OPPO F35 Pro 5G. OPPO confirmed the series’ impending arrival in India through a press release, though a specific launch date remains unconfirmed, but is anticipated before the end of September.
Pro Model May Be a Rebrand
Rumours suggest the OPPO F35 Pro 5G could be a rebranded version of the OPPO A7 Pro Max, according to online speculation. If this proves accurate, the phone could feature a substantial 10000mAh battery, aligning with a trend of larger battery capacities in the Indian market. Brands are increasingly competing to offer phones with extended battery life, with several models now boasting 8000mAh or greater capacities.
Potential Specifications of the Pro Variant
Should the F35 Pro 5G be a rebrand of the A7 Pro Max, it could also include the following features:
- Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate
- Battery: 10000mAh with 80W wired charging
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 SoC
- RAM: Up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM
- Storage: Up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage
The OPPO F35 5G Pro is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000.
