Xiaomi is preparing to expand its Redmi Note 17 series in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. The company has now confirmed that both devices will be available in India starting September 15, 2026.
Two New Models Arriving
The upcoming launch will introduce two new phones to the Indian market: the Redmi Note 17 Pro and the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. These join the existing Redmi Note 17 5G, which is already available for purchase in India. Xiaomi has indicated that the Indian versions of the Pro models will largely mirror the specifications of the devices released in China, with no expected design changes.
Battery Life and Availability
A key feature highlighted by Xiaomi is the large battery capacity of the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G series, with the phones expected to pack up to a 10000mAh battery. The company claims this will translate to up to four days of usage on a single charge. Both the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G will be sold through Amazon India following their launch.
Camera and Positioning
Teasers have revealed that the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G will feature a dual-rear camera setup. However, Xiaomi has not yet announced pricing or specific positioning details for the new devices, which are key areas of interest for potential buyers. With the addition of the Pro and Pro Max models, Xiaomi will have a total of three phones in the Redmi Note 17 series available in India – the Redmi Note 17, Redmi Note 17 Pro, and the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.
