Apple has entered the foldable smartphone market with the launch of the iPhone Duo in India. Marking a significant departure for the company, the iPhone Duo is Apple’s first attempt at a foldable device, and unsurprisingly, it comes with a premium price tag.
iPhone Duo: Pricing and Availability
The iPhone Duo will be available in India in four storage configurations:
- 256GB: Rs 2,99,900
- 512GB: Rs 3,24,900
- 1TB: Rs 3,74,900
- 2TB: Rs 4,49,900
Customers can choose between two colour options: Star White and Night Sky. A bank offer of Rs 7,000 will be available with select cards. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on October 16, 2026, at 5:30 PM IST, with the device becoming available on October 23, 2026.
Key Specifications of the iPhone Duo
The iPhone Duo weighs 254 grams and features a dual-screen design. It boasts a 5.4-inch outer display and a larger 7.6-inch inner display. The inner display incorporates a nano-texture coating designed to reduce glare and minimise the visibility of the crease.
Under the hood, the iPhone Duo is powered by the A20 Pro chip and supports C2 5G connectivity. Apple has reintroduced Touch ID, positioning it on the side of the device. The iPhone Duo will also support Apple Pencil, which will charge via USB-C.
Notably, an Apple Watch can be used to unlock the iPhone Duo. The device features an eSIM-only setup for the global market and utilises dual batteries, promising up to 24 hours of usage on a single charge, with a 50% charge achievable in 20 minutes. All essential controls are located on the side for ease of use.
The camera system includes a 48MP Fusion main sensor paired with a 12MP 2x telephoto sensor. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 12MP front camera with Center Stage functionality, and a new FaceTime camera is integrated into the inner display.
