OPPO is preparing to launch the Find X10 Pro Max, and the company has officially confirmed the device will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. This positions the Find X10 Pro Max among a very select group of phones globally to utilise a 2nm processor – currently, only the iPhone 18 Pro models reportedly feature this technology, with the iPhone Duo also expected to adopt it upon release.
Next-Generation Performance
The Dimensity 9600 Pro is built using TSMC’s 2nm N2P process node. MediaTek claims this new chipset will deliver a significant boost in performance and efficiency. According to the company, the Dimensity 9600 Pro will yield up to a 61% improvement in CPU multi-core energy efficiency compared to its predecessor.
CPU and GPU Enhancements
The chipset’s CPU configuration includes two prime C2-Ultra cores clocked at up to 4.55 GHz, alongside six high-performance cores, resulting in an approximate 17% improvement in overall CPU performance. Graphics processing will be handled by an integrated G2-Ultra NX GPU, which introduces hardware ray-tracing updates and neural graphics capabilities.
AI and Efficiency Gains
A dual-unit neural processing unit (NPU) architecture is integrated into the Dimensity 9600 Pro, designed to optimise workload distribution. This is expected to improve large language model (LLM) prefill speed by 51% and boost NPU energy efficiency by 41%.
Software Optimisation
OPPO will also debut the OPPO Laminar Flow Engine with the Find X10 Pro Max. This proprietary software-hardware integration was developed in collaboration with MediaTek to further enhance the device’s performance.
The OPPO Find X10 Pro Max is confirmed to be available in international markets.
