Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi 17C 5G to the Indian market, bringing a budget-friendly 5G option to consumers. The device, which first debuted in Singapore in August, offers a large display and a sizable battery.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi 17C 5G is available in two configurations:
- 4GB RAM + 128GB storage: Rs 20,999
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: Rs 22,999
Customers can choose from three colour options: Purple Dawn, Dark Night, and a Coffee Brown variant featuring a textured vegan leather back. The phone will be available for purchase starting October 7, 2026, through Amazon India, mi.com, and offline retail partners.

The Redmi 17C 5G features a 6.9-inch LCD display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1600 x 720 (HD+). Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, fabricated on a 6nm process. The phone supports up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and comes with 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot that supports up to 1TB of additional storage.
A 6000mAh battery provides power, with support for 33W fast-charging – a 33W adapter is included in the box. The device also supports 10W reverse wired charging. For photography, the Redmi 17C 5G boasts a 50MP main camera on the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The phone runs HyperOS 3 out of the box.
