Intex launches 3 Budget Smartphones

Three new budget smartphones have been now spotted on the official website of Intex. These devices belong to the Cloud series and carry a 4 inch capacitive display (480 x 800 pixels). These smartphones function on Android 4.2 OS and are dual SIM handsets with dual standby feature. They support only GSM SIMs. Let us have a look at the key features of the three smartphones:

Intex Cloud Y3:

  • It has been equipped with a MediaTek MT6572 dual core processor of 1.2 GHz.
  • It features a 3.2 MP primary camera with flash and a 1.3 MP front facing shooter.
  • It carries a RAM of 512 MB, internal memory of 4 GB and up to 32 GB expandable memory.
  • The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP and 2G EDGE.
  • It offers a 3.5 mm AV jack and FM Radio.
  • It works on a battery of 1500 mAh.

Intex Cloud Y7:

  • It has been equipped with a MediaTek MT6572 dual core processor of 1 GHz.
  • It features a 2 MP primary camera with flash and a 1.3 MP front facing shooter.
  • It carries a RAM of 512 MB, internal memory of 512 MB and up to 32 GB expandable memory.
  • The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP and 2G EDGE.
  • It offers a 3.5 mm AV jack and FM Radio.
  • It works on a battery of 1450 mAh.

Intex Cloud Y13:

  • It has been equipped with a MediaTek MT6572 dual core processor of 1.2 GHz.
  • It features a 3.2 MP primary camera with flash and a 1.3 MP front facing shooter.
  • It carries a RAM of 512 MB, internal memory of 4 GB and up to 32 GB expandable memory.
  • The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP and 2G EDGE.

Our take: The three smartphones come with decent specifications seeing the fact that they are meant to compete with the feature phones and other budget android smartphones. But the deal breaker could be the price of these devices as it will ultimately determine if these devices sell well or not. If all of them get priced right, they very much have a chance of making a mark in the budget segment.
