iQOO has officially confirmed it will launch the iQOO 16 this September, dismissing recent speculation that the device had been cancelled. The confirmation comes amid reports from tipsters that rising memory prices were impacting flagship smartphone production at companies including Vivo, Oppo, Samsung, and OnePlus.
Powerful New Chipset
The iQOO 16 will be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. This new processor is based on TSMC’s 2nm process, promising significant performance gains. iQOO has teased the phone with the slogan “Monster Inside”, hinting at the device’s capabilities.
Design and Camera Details
Early looks at the iQOO 16 reveal a distinctive design. The phone features a triple-camera setup housed in a square module on the rear, alongside gradient graphics. It will be available in black and silver colour variants. The camera system includes:
