Reliance Jio will be primarily banking on Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology for voice service through its 4G network. However, not all 4G devices available in the market will support this feature, and some phones may need a software update to enable this.
The Jio care team has shared an official list of 4G smartphones that support VoLTE technology on Jio’s 4G network. Please note that this list is not exclusive, and more phones would be added before commercial launch of the services to end consumers

Brokerage firm Credit Suisse recently evaluated Jio VoLTE network and reported that Jio’s 4G voice coverage using Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology is at par with that of incumbents and there were no call drops during their testing. If you are out for shopping a new 4G smartphone, do confirm if it supports VoLTE on Jio’s network.
